Versant Signs Water Agreement With Woodfin

Versant, a master-planned guard-gated community to be built just outside of Asheville, has just signed a water agreement with the Woodfin Water District.

Under the agreement, signed by both parties on April 19, 2007, Woodfin will supply water to all of Versant. Versant will build the water tank, which will connect to Woodfin’s main line on Baird Cove Road, creating a loop with the existing Woodfin water system. Woodfin Water District is to take possession of the tank upon its completion.

The tank is designed at four times the capacity to serve all of Versant once it is built out, ensuring that the community will have water far in excess of what will ever be necessary.

The water agreement marks the first milestone for Versant, with the second just around the corner. In early summer the gatehouse entrance to Versant will be completed.

Designed as a European-inspired village with estate homes along the top of a mountain, just seven minutes from the city of Asheville, N.C., Versant will boast single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums.

The private community will feature a fresh market filled with piping hot breads, exotic wines, and fresh vegetables, an amphitheatre, an executive retreat center, a high-end restaurant, and a Wellness Center with a Jacuzzi, a resort-style pool and a fitness center.

Dedicated to promoting and sustaining the environment, Versant is a member of the Audubon International Gold Signature Program. Natural wildlife preserves and acres of interior greenways will always remain protected.

Throughout 400 acres with spectacular panoramic views of Asheville and the North Carolina mountains, Versant offers expansive home sites ranging from .75 to 2+ acres. Estate sites range from $250,000 to $1.2 million. Townhomes and condos will range from $450,000 to $2 million.
